Fort Myers
Fort Myers is located on the banks of the Caloosahatchee River in Southwest Florida. As a gateway to the Gulf of Mexico it is rich with ambiance and history. With year round temperatures ranging from the mid 70s in the Winter to mid 90s in the Summer, Fort Myers offers year round pleasures to its visitors and residents.

Beaches
From our villa local beaches can be easily reached. Fort Myers Beach can be found by turning left from Beachwalk onto San Carlos. Within 10 minutes you will be on the beautiful white sandy beach.
This beach has plenty of small car parking with beach access. This beach is excellent for walking but also the compact sand makes beach cycling a wonderful experience. Local cycle hire shops are available. Up by the pier, an area known as Times Square, has many bars, restaurants and beach shops. From here you can travel along Estero Boulevard where you will find quieter parts of the beach. A great place for watching the sun set and dolphins swim in the sea.
A quieter and secluded beach is Bunche Beach. To find this beach you turn right onto Summerlin from San Carlos. This beach has no facilities, but has free parking. Finally, Sanibel and Captiva are reached by staying on Summerlin and crossing the causeway onto the island. Sanibel is famous for shelling and the quality of its sand.
The Fort Myers Beach Trolley Service provides connections to destinations within the city limits. Services call at: Summerlin Square, Bowditch Park, Times Square, Lani Kai, Santini Plaza, Lovers Key and Bonita Springs. Throughout the week, trolleys run from 06:30 to 21:25.
Parks & Nature Trails
There are many parks and nature trails for cycling and walking. Pine Island, J.N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge on Sanibel Island, and the Audubon Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary near Bonita Springs, Manatee Park in Fort Myers and the Babcock Wilderness Adventure in North Fort Myers.
The many and diverse exotic wildlife make the South West Gulf Coast fascinating for observing; egrets, pelicans, osprey, herons, alligator, dolphin, manatee, wood stork and roseate spoonbill are just some of the species that can be found. From waterways, islands and sun washed beaches to tropical gardens and palms, the area provides endless access to water sports, museums, historic tours, fishing, boating, shelling, cycling, golf, theater and nature walks.
Golf
With over 50 golf courses, this area is a golfers’ paradise. Courses for all standards and budgets are available for you to play.
Shopping
Our villa is close to all shops. Edison Mall has all the brand name shops and department stores you would expect. There are 2 designer outlets; Tanger less than 2 miles away and Miromar, south on the I-75 no more than 30 minutes away.
In our home you will find directions to many of the most popular stores and malls.
Restaurants
The choice and variety nearby is astounding. Our own choices are detailed in our home, but this is just a start as our guests and neighbors also make recommendations as even we haven’t been able to eat in them all yet!
More information can be found in our villa.
There really is something for everyone in this part of Florida, you will not be disappointed.
